Online poker room Everest Poker will soon be joining the iPoker Network in the hopes of increasing their traffic flow. The site has seen a large decrease in player traffic over the past few months and a network change might help with their player numbers. However, Everest Poker ranks third in the France market and they are listed ahead of iPoker, so it will be interesting to see if the merger affects the French market.
Pokerfuse.com covered the story and revealed that sources close to the situation have stated that Everest Poker, an independent network, is currently preparing to join the iPoker network. Performance numbers at Everest Poker are sagging and because of poker number loss, the site is losing sponsorship deals and revenues.
Going back to the international version of Everest Poker, they have lost almost 40% of their cash game traffic in just the last six months, according to figures at Poker Scout. The French version of the online poker room has been able to maintain their numbers, so it will be interesting to see if the merger will affect the player numbers at the French site.
Players will soon have access to a greater liquidity of the international version as well as additional gaming options, since the room will be joining the iPoker Network. iPoker provides such features as Speed Poker, which is their version of a fast fold poker game.
We have yet to see any information be released on the fusion of the Everest Poker version to the iPoker Network regarding the French site.
