WSOP November Nine Set; Negreanu Eliminated in 11th Place

wsopThe 2015 World Series of Poker November Nine has been chosen in Las Vegas, Nevada and unfortunately, Daniel Negreanu will not be among the final table. Trying to make the final nine and hopefully secure his first ever WSOP Main Event bracelet, Negreanu would slowly dwindle down to the short stack in the final 27 to earn an 11th place finish.

Holding a massive chip lead, Joe McKeehen would be the one to eliminate Negreanu from game play. On Negreanu’s last hand, McKeehen would raise to 800,000 on the button and Negreanu would call from the big blind position. The flop would fall A-diamonds-King-Clubs-10-Diamonds.

Negreanu would check and McKeehen would continue betting, this time at 700,000. Negreanu would then push all-in with 5,825,000 and McKeehen would call. Negreanu showed A-4 off-suit with McKeehen holding J-3 diamonds. The crowd at the event were on their feet as Negreanu’s Main Event tournament life was on the line. A 3 of hearts on the turn gave McKeehen more outs but kept Negreanu in the game. The Queen of hearts on the river gave McKeehen the straight and Negreanu was out, ending his run in the 2015 Main Event.

Negreanu was disappointed to be knocked out right before the final table and when asked what was next for him, the pro simply stated: ‘Vodka” and laughed. Stating after the loss, Negreanu pointed out that the biggest disappointment for him was the fact that he could have upped the ratings and get more people involved by promoting the November Nine as a member.

The November Nine has now been revealed and it is Joseph McKeehen who earned the position as chip leader with 64,100,000 in chips. Far behind in second is Zvi Stern who holds 29,800,000 while Neil Blumenfield holds the third largest chip stack with 22,000,000. The remaining players rounding out the final table are:

Pierre Neuville with 21,075,000 in chips

Max Steinberg with 20,200,000 in chips

Thomas Cannuli with 12,250,000 in chips

Joshua Beckley with 10,800,000 in chips

Patrick Chan with 6,225,000 in chips

Federico Butteroni with 6,200,000 in chips
