Week 9 Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview

Ole Miss Rebels at Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Preview

Week 9 of the National Football League brings an exciting Sunday Night Football matchup, featuring two AFC contenders. The Buffalo Bills are hitting the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals, renewing a national primetime showdown that was cut short last season due to the Damar Hamlin injury. Both teams have a lot at stake in this game.

The Buffalo Bills currently hold a 5-3 record this season, securing the second spot in the AFC East. Despite a victory against the Dolphins earlier in the season, they are still trailing by one game. Buffalo is coming off a hard-fought win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On the other side, the Cincinnati Bengals stand at 4-3 this season. They are part of a competitive AFC North, where all four teams are above .500. Cincinnati began the season with a 1-3 record but has since rallied with three consecutive wins.

The Bengals enter this matchup as the favorites, with Cincinnati listed at -1.5 and a total points over/under of 49.5.

Buffalo Up and Down Start to 2023

The Buffalo Bills entered the game ranked 6th in the league in total yards, averaging just under 384 yards per game this season. Their passing game ranks 4th in the league, with nearly 264 passing yards per game. However, their running game has been a concern. While the Bills recently signed Leonard Fournette, he is unlikely to be available for this game.

Buffalo has been utilizing both James Cook and Latavius Murray in the backfield. Cook has accumulated 102 rushes for nearly 500 yards and one touchdown, while Murray has fewer carries but has scored two touchdowns. Quarterback Josh Allen is also a threat on the ground, with five rushing touchdowns.

Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis lead the receiving corps for Buffalo, combining for nearly 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns. Rookie Dalton Kincaid has 30 receptions and one touchdown on the season. The Bills have a Monday Night Football game against the Broncos next and will host the Jets just before Thanksgiving.

Cincinnati Seeking 4th Straight

The Cincinnati Bengals faced adversity when Joe Burrow was injured in the preseason. They started the season with losses to the Browns and Ravens, with a win against the Titans and losses to the Rams. Sitting at 1-3, the outlook was grim for Cincinnati fans. However, recent victories over the Cardinals, Seahawks, and 49ers have revived their hopes.

Cincinnati’s scoring has improved to 18.7 points per game, and they have climbed in the passing yards per game ranking, now averaging 197.9 yards per game through the air. Jamar Chase remains a key threat for Cincinnati, with 60 receptions, 656 yards, and 4 touchdowns. Tyler Boyd follows with 244 yards and two touchdowns.

The Bengals have a home game against the Texans in Week 10 and will kick off Week 11 with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on the road.

Bills Find a Way on the Road

The Buffalo Bills have Josh Allen, and Josh Allen has found ways before. Despite the red-hot play of the Bengals coming into the game, the Bills win this game. Bet the Buffalo Bills at +1.5, with a great game from Allen on Sunday Night Football.
