Texas Rangers at Chicago White Sox Betting Prediction

A pair of American League teams will get together on Wednesday in the third and final game of the series. The Texas Rangers are at the Chicago White Sox. The two teams have split the first two games after the wild one on Tuesday that saw Chicago come back and win 7-6. The Rangers are now 45-28 on the season, first in the American League West. The White Sox went to 32-43 on the season, 4th in the American League Central.

The Texas Rangers are small favorites in this game on Wednesday. The Rangers are -114 on the moneyline, and the total for this game is 9 runs.

Rangers Look to Keep Smashing the Baseball

Texas has scored the most runs of any team in all of Major League Baseball. The Rangers came into Tuesday’s game with 439 runs scored, and their run differential was the best at +151. Texas has been solid on the road, as well as at home, which makes them a dangerous team to look out for coming postseason time.

The Texas Rangers are sending Martin Perez to the mound in this affair. The 32-year-old lefthander is coming off a start against the Blue Jays, where he went 6 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 earned runs. On the season, Perez is 6-3, with a 4.54 earned average. Perez has 54 strikeouts and 26 walks on the season.

Rookie Josh Jung had a big game on Monday in the first game of the series, as he smashed his 15th home run of the season.  That tied him with Adolis Garcia for most on the team until Garcia went deep for the 16th time on Tuesday. Garcia is the top RBI guy for Texas, with 58.

Kopech Looks to Slow Down Texas Offense

Michael Kopech will get the nod for the Chicago White Sox. Kopech is 3-5 in 2023 with an ERA of 3.92. The 27-year-old struggled at the Mariners in his last start, allowing 6 hits and walking 6 in just 4.1 innings. Kopech, on the season, has struck out 89 batters while issuing just 39 walks.

The White Sox are trying to find an identity with the team. Is it hitting or pitching? Or is it both? Or is it neither? Right now, it has been neither. The White Sox are 24th in runs scored, with just 4.1 per game.  The pitching has been even worse, as they are allowing 4.9 runs per game. Chicago does have a solid batting average against, as teams are only hitting .239 against them.

On the offensive side of the ball, they need more production up and down their lineup. Eloy Jimenez is hitting just .252, and Luis Robert is at .262. Those two guys are combining for 26 home runs, but they are going to need to produce more runs scored. Jake Berger has been a surprise for the White Sox so far, with 16 home runs, second on the team. Chicago saw Elvis Andrus hit a home run for the first time since May 5th in the game on Tuesday.

Rangers Smack White Sox on Wednesday

The Texas Rangers are a great offensive team. Many expected them to slow down as the season kept rolling along, but that’s not happened. The Rangers can hit and have been getting enough pitching to be really good this season. Look for more offense from the Rangers in this game as they beat the White Sox on Wednesday. Bet the Texas Rangers -114 over the Chicago White Sox.
