Jackpocket Partners With the Colorado Rockies

Jackpocket, a third-party lottery application in the United States is said to have sealed a deal with Colorado Rockies, a Major League Baseball (MLB) team as its digital lottery partner. Yahoo Sports released a report on Monday stating that the tie-up is the eighth one after the lottery app signed another deal with the Dallas Mavericks, a National Basketball Association (NBA) team.

The New-York based news service added that Jackpocket has other agreements with the Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins baseball teams, the New York Jets from the National Football League (NFL), the New York Islanders, and New Jersey Devils teams from the National Hockey League (NHL).

Is the Deal Convenient?

Jackpocket was founded in 2013 and calls itself “Uber Eats for lottery tickets.” The app’s mobile-friendly technology allows players to access state lottery draws like those in MegaMillions and Powerball games. Besides, the gaming service usually buys physical entries for its clients and transforms them into digital representations which it stores until a draw ends.

The Lottery App’s Expansion

Jackpocket’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Sullivan revealed that the gaming company got a license from New Jersey’s gaming regulators in 2020. It is planning to operate in 14 states by the end of this month.

The official explained a YouGov survey which revealed that 53 percent of New Yorkers knew that one can buy lottery tickets using their mobile phone and 37 percent of them understood the company’s service. He said that working with such teams proves that the firm has genuine products.

Generally, when someone sees or hears an advert that they can buy a state lottery ticket on a phone and they aren’t sure about it, knowing that Jackpocket is an official partner assures them that they won’t get duped. Besides, the company has undergone a rigorous vetting process to ascertain its legitimacy and reliability.

Is There a Cash Charge?

Yahoo Sports claimed that Jackpocket and Colorado Rockies’ deal came at the right time as the lottery app recently finished a $120 million Series D fundraiser in November 2021. It featured many serial entrepreneurs like Jon Ledecky, Josh Harris, Mark Cuban, and David Blitzer.

Sullivan stated that Jackpocket is currently upgrading its advertisement mode and is determined to reach agreements with more local sports franchises. Besides, getting influencers with a geographical focus isn’t a walk in the park today.

The CEO pronounced that the lottery is a popular type of real-money game in the United States with many winning opportunities. Many people spend less money on sports events tickets, books, movie tickets, video games, and concert tickets compared to lottery tickets.

Promotions for Players

Jackpocket made a press release claiming that it is planning to host many merchandise and ticket giveaways besides providing its clients with distinct VIP experiences. It stated that one Colorado player won a Lucky for Life game that earned that $25,000 per year up to their demise. This is a unique annual cash reward that many American lottery apps don’t offer.

Sullivan revealed a statement saying that Jackpocket’s partnership with Colorado Rockies came at an appropriate time as the baseball season is heating up. They are excited to offer players an easy and advanced method to play the lottery as they cheer their favorite team.
