San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants Betting Preview

The San Diego Padres will travel across their state on Monday to take on the San Francisco Giants. The Giants and Padres have both been playing good baseball recently as the Giants come in at 8-2 in their last 10 games and the Padres come in at 7-3.

Despite the Padres being expected to be the better team in the off-season, the Giants have been playing better baseball than they have as their four games in front of them in the National League West. Both teams trail the Arizona Diamondbacks in the division and hope that they can catch them in the near future.

The Padres come into this one as the slight favorite on the moneyline at -120 and +140 on the run line.

San Diego Is Back

When looking at what the San Diego Padres have done throughout the past few weeks, it’s easy to see why people are believing that this could possibly be one of the best teams in baseball once again. They just took a series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Furthermore, San Diego has truly started to figure it out on the mound.

Former Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell has been immaculate for San Diego this season, as he just threw an absolute gem against Tampa Bay in his most recent outing. He won’t be on the mound in this one, but Michael Wacha will, and he’s had good stuff as well this season. It’s going to be interesting to see if he can slow down this tough Giants lineup, but he’s proved that he has more than enough to get the job done with his 2.89 ERA and 1.06 WHIP on the season.

San Diego has been hitting the ball recently, and that’s not unusual given who they have in their lineup. Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr, Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and even newly added Gary Sanchez have been swinging the bat at a very high level recently.

Seven Straight Wins For San Francisco

The San Francisco Giants come into this series playing the best baseball that they’ve played all season long. They swept the St. Louis Cardinals in their series before the Los Angeles Dodgers and then went into Los Angeles and swept the Dodgers. If they can continue playing the way that they have, especially offensively, they’re going to find themselves in another good position on Monday.

This has a chance to be a playoff preview, as San Francisco has been figuring it out recently. They’ve now won seven games in a row entering this game, and it’s going to be interesting to see if San Diego has a way of stopping that.

Ryan Walker is going to be on the mound for the Giants, and he’s thrown very well in his 11 outings this season. He’s starting his first game of the season, as he typically works out of the bullpen. He comes into this one with a 1.23 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 14.2 innings pitched.

San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants Betting Preview Prediction

Because the Giants have won seven in a row, and we can get them at +100, betting on them seems to be the best idea here.
