Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

Sunday Night Football is about to be lit. The Steelers and Chargers will do battle in a game that is critical to the divisional hopes for each side. The AFC North is airtight, and Pittsburgh will need to get back into the win column, following their tie with the Lions a week ago. As for the Bolts, it is all about catching the Raiders and finding a rhythm after recent struggles.

Pittsburgh is going to get Ben Roethlisberger back, which should help the offense out a bit. He has not been great by anybody’s standards but still appears to be the best option they have, with Mason Rudolph showing a lot of inconsistency last weekend. They opted not to use Dwayne Haskins, who has not taken any in-game reps since being benched and cut by Washington.

As for the Bolts, this is a key game, too. They come in at 5-4 and would love to keep the winning record. Keenan Allen is coming off a dominant performance, but the record should, without a doubt, be better for them. They cannot take losses as they have, with all the potential they possess as a football team.

This is going to be an exciting battle and should draw some incredible viewer numbers across the country.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for Sunday night favors home L.A. -5.5. The over/under is set at 47.5 points. The PIT moneyline is listed at +202, while the latter is L.A. -250.

Pittsburgh Seeking Sixth Win

Amidst a crowded AFC North race, the only team with more than five wins coming into the week is the Baltimore Ravens. Pittsburgh is in the same boat as the Bengals and Browns with five, with some very interesting head-to-head games played between them; Cincy dominated the Ravens and the Browns too but have shown struggles against other teams.

Pitt lost to Cincy 24-10 and beat the Browns in a low-scoring snoozer in their first go-round. They will have Baltimore in weeks 13 and 17. For now, though, their defensive backs had best be ready for Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. This is a huge game for them to stay tight in the divisional race.

They will lean heavily on Najee Harris, as they have been for the whole year.

Bolts Seeking Key Victory

At five wins as well, the Chargers have a lot riding on this one. Las Vegas has been dealing with turmoil all year long, but they remain a threat. As for the Chiefs, they have found their mojo, while Denver can be hit or miss. This is important for the Bolts.

Austin Ekeler has continued to prove himself as a legitimate back, while the receivers have played well. Justin Herbert has continued to excel, looking like a borderline elite signal-caller in just his second campaign.

There are a lot of reasons to celebrate the Bolts. But they need another one, and they need it now.

Chargers Win

The home team will not only win but cover the spread too. They improve to 6-4 in the process.
