In the middle game in the National Football League on Thanksgiving Day the Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys will get together. The Los Angeles Chargers have moved into a tie with the Oakland Raiders for second place in the AFC West. Los Angeles is coming off a blowout win at home over the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.
The Dallas Cowboys have dropped back to back games, and are now 5-5 on the season. The Cowboys are 4 games out of first in the division, and are trailing for a wildcard spot as well. The Cowboys are 2-3 at home this season. In this game, the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers are a pick’em.
Jason Garrett and his Dallas Cowboys are in trouble. The Cowboys lost Ezekiel Elliott, and have been pretty noncompetitive in those two games. The Cowboys lost 27-7 at the Falcons and then 37-9 to the Eagles. The Cowboys ere one of the top rushing teams in the league before the loss of Elliott, but have dropped to 4th with 140.4 yards per game.
The Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott looks lost without Elliott as well. The quarterback still has more than 2,100 yards passing this season, with 16 touchdowns. The Cowboys are playing their second of three straight home games, as they welcome the Redskins to town next weekend in the Sunday Night Football game.
Chargers Looking to Surge
The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to surge and post in the postseason race out of the AFC. Two games behind the Chiefs, but in a battle for a wildcard spot. The Chargers lost four straight games to start the season, and then won three in a row, before losing back to back games at the Patriots and Jaguars. The Chargers scored 54 points last week to erase the losing streak.
Phillip Rivers has thrown to Keenan Allen often this season. Sunday – he was the receipient of two touchdown passes on Sunday against the Bills. Allen on the season has caught 56 passes for 755 yards and 3 touchdowns. Melvin Gordon leads the team in rushing, with 633 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Chargers will host the winless Browns next week, and then host Washington following that, before a trip to Kansas City.
Chargers Down Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are used to playing these Thanksgiving Day games, but this is not going to play a factor in this game. The Cowboys are just too banged up right now. No Ezekiel Elliott just kills their offense, and the defense is banged up as well. The Los Angeles Chargers are going to carry over their solid offensive attack of Week 11 into this game. The Chargers go on the road and win a big game here. The final bet for this game on Thanksgiving Day is the Los Angeles Chargers in a pick’em over the Dallas Cowboys.
