This should be a fun matchup between two quarterbacks that have impressed with their play this year. Carolina is looking to keep pace with the Saints, while Philly is looking to keep up with the Redskins atop their division.

Panthers Coming Off Loss
Led by Cam Newton, the boys in light blue have been playing very well. Cam has 1,158 yards and 9 TD’s (4 INT’s) and has 208 rushing yards with 3 TD’s. Christian McCaffrey has had a terrific season as a rusher, as well as a pass-catcher. DJ Moore and Torrey Smith have started to become more involved in the offense as the year has winded on, something important in the big picture to their offensive success. Now with Greg Olsen also healthy for the first time in weeks, we’ll see how he’s utilized this week.
It also helps to have one of the league’s top kickers in Graham Gano, who nailed a game-winning 63-yard field goal as time expired to beat the Giants a few weeks ago. Mario Addison is leading with 3.5 sacks, and they’ll need him to get pressure on Wentz today. With Philly not having much of a running game, it will be on the Panthers’ secondary to win this game.
Eagles Looking to Grab 4th Win
At 3-3, things could be worse, but they have already tied last year’s loss total. Carson Wentz has looked fantastic since coming back with 8 TD’s to just 1 iNT, but he’s 2-2 as starter. Philly QB’s have been sacked 18 times. Smallwood, Clement, and Adams have not been efficient in place of Jay Ajayi, who has been lost for the season, and they really need them to. It has been a dominant start to the season for tight end Zach Ertz, who has 480 yards and a pair of TD’s. Alshon Jeffery has looked impressive since coming back, and he’s a big key for this offense.
Defensively, they have 16 sacks, led by Fletcher Cox’s 4 sacks are leading the team, and they’ll need him to get quickly after Cam. They also have to limit the running lanes for Newton. The more pressure they put on, the more effective they will be. Philly does not have a terrific secondary, but it is going to have to be good enough to help them get the win. An effective run-game with their O-Line keeping Wentz from being taken down will be the ultimate key.
Panthers Get the W in Philly
Be sure to bet the spread of Carolina +5! They will come to Philly and play a dominant brand of football. McCaffrey will help them to establish the run right from the outset, while Devin Funchess will have his first 100-yard day of the season.
Wentz will be hitting the turf early and often, and it won’t be good.
