New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers Betting Pick and Prediction

The Knicks have been a hard team to judge all year, as some nights they bring their A-game and are a tough out and on others don’t look competitive at all. You don’t just allow a 42-point quarter against the Suns.

Philly, on the other hand, has been up and down but has been one of the best teams in the league at home this year. Simmons, Embiid, and Butler are quite a trio and undoubtedly have a lot of promise together.

Knicks:

They are fourteen games under .500, and rank in the bottom third in the league in points for, as well as against. They are banged up beyond repair and have only had ten healthy players for the last week. This didn’t stop them from rallying from a 20-point second-half deficit, ON THE ROAD in Charlotte. They did blow their comeback against the Cavs in the prior game and have now lost to the Pacers and Suns in consecutive contests. They are 1-7 since beating the Bucks on first of December and are winless in games that didn’t go to overtime since beating Memphis on Nov .25.

Kevin Knox has been coming on strong of late, playing huge minutes because of injuries, and is one of seven Knicks averaging in double figures. Tim Hardaway has really struggled to shoot the ball, so his 21 points per game aren’t that impressive. Emmanuel Mudiay has been on a tear and is averaging 14 points per game in total.

Sixers:

They have dropped three of their previous four games since knocking off the Pistons, with only a win over the Cavs in the last nine days. They lost to the Nets and Pacers, and after the CLE win, got destroyed by the Spurs on Monday. They didn’t come prepared, and their offense was not working. This is a team that is star heavy, with a weak supporting cast. They have shooters like Shamet and Redick, but they can only do so much. The defense has been really bad at times.

They have the eighth highest scoring offense in the league, but rank #23 in points allowed. We could tell you how amazing Joel Embiid’s stats have been, and why he is a prime MVP candidate, but that would not prove anything. This is a team who is trying to surpass last year’s finish of a second-round appearance, and as they will be paying Jimmy Butler some BIG bucks after the year, would love to do it after a possible trip to the NBA Finals.

Sixers get back on track, knock off the Knicks

This is a good day to be a Sixers fan, as they will come out on top. They won’t be slowed by the Knicks, who will not be bringing their A-game today.

Joel Embiid is going to dominate Enes Kanter, while Ben Simmons will have a flashy triple-double.
