New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors Betting Pick

It has been a long year for New York, now with three times as many losses as wins. They continue to start Luke Kornet over Enes Kanter, and they have not been too fun to watch in these recent weeks.

Golden State, on the other hand, comes in off a wild win over the Clippers. Steph and Klay have both been shooting the ball very well of late to help provide a lift for the team. We’ll see if they can keep it rolling.

Knicks:

We can no longer use injuries as the excuse for all of the blowout losses. They have gotten plenty of healthy bodies back, but things have just not been going well. While Kevin Knox has continued to do what he does, a lot of the other guys have struggled. It’s tough to see David Fizdale, a year after being unfairly fired in Memphis, struggling to win games this season with this rebuilding bunch. He is continuing to switch up rotations to see what works, but after 40 games, you should really know what each guy is capable of bringing to the team.

Tim Hardaway has been shooting the ball better of late, but Emmanuel Mudiay has come back down to Earth. It’s tough to say exactly what makes this team stand out, besides the fact they have good three-point shooters and double-double machine (whether or not he starts) in Enes Kanter. Tonight could be a long night.

Warriors:

They have the #3 best scoring offense in the league, which should come as a surprise to nobody. Steph is looking like the all-time great scorer he is, while KD and Klay continue to knock down all of their jumpers. Draymond has been starting to score a bit of late, something we have not seen in quite some time. Something that is very surprising about this team is that they are #22 in points allowed, as the defense has not done quite as well as we have all been expecting it to do.

The one big issue with this team is a lack of scoring outside of their stars. No player besides their big three of Durant, Curry, and Thompson is averaging even eight points per game. Jonas Jerebko and Quinn Cook are the only players pouring in consistent contributions to their scoring total, while a lot of other guys have struggled. On the bright side, Kevon Looney has filled in admirably at center, as they await the return of DeMarcus Cousins from his Achilles injury last January.

Warriors crush NY, move to 27-14

This will not be much of a battle at Oracle. Curry’s 35-point night against Mudiay and co. will power the team to a blowout victory.

Enes Kanter will double-double while Hardaway posts a 30-point performance, but neither of these things will offset all the damage Golden State’s offense will be doing.
