NBA Playoff - Betting Preview (Sun)

The NBA Playoffs began on Saturday, as there were several exciting battles that took place with several star players putting up big performances.

On Sunday, eight new teams begin their quest to bring home the 2022 NBA championship, as there are sure to be some exciting battles.

Let’s take a look at some of them!

Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks – Heat -7

The Hawks are feeling great after their play-in victories over the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers, as Trae Young put in nearly 40 points to help his team advance to the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

The Heat had a little bit of controversy at the end of March but managed to win six of their final seven games, which helped them lock down the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

With the Hawks riding this momentum, expect that to carry into this game while catching the Heat off guard.

Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets – Celtics -4

The Nets should be seeded much higher than the 7th seed, but with Kyrie Irving being unavailable for most of the games and Kevin Durant getting hurt, they saw significant slippage in the standings.

The Celtics have been one of the hottest teams in the league since January, as Jayson Tatum found himself in the MVP conversation while Jaylen Brown continues his rise as one of the premier two-way wings in the league.

Now that both KD and Kyrie are healthy and available expect the Nets to play more to their expectations at the beginning of the season rather than what their record indicates and steal a win in Boston.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls – Bucks -10.5

The Bucks are looking to win a championship in back-to-back years, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo continuously getting better, that goal remains very realistic.

The Bulls had a nice season with DeMar DeRozan leading the way and Zach LaVine doing his thing as a scorer, but they just don’t have the depth to hang with a team like Milwaukee.

Expect the Bucks to get off to a fast start this postseason and put away the Bulls with ease in front of their passionate and loud fans.

Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans – Suns -10.5

The Suns easily established themselves as the best team in the league this season, as Devin Booker continues his rise as one of the premier scoring guards in the league, which put him in the MVP conversation.

Chris Paul is aging gracefully, as his playmaking skills puts his teammates in the best possible position to succeed. Paul also has pretty much perfected his mid-range game.

The Pelicans shocked the world when they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in game, as Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum both provided a significant scoring boost.

The Pelicans are a better team than their record shows but expect the Suns to come out with a ton of energy and put the Pelicans away early in front of their home fans.
