For the Dallas Mavericks, they are the fifth seed in the West. Dallas missed the postseason a season ago. The Mavericks lost their final two games of the regular season, but finished fairly strong with 7 wins in their final 10 games.

Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks used a 31-27 fourth quarter to win Game 2. It was a game they really needed on the road, and now have a leg up in the series. Luka Doncic was great for the Mavericks in the win, with 32 points. But his biggest plus was his ability to guard anyone on the court for the Clippers.
Dallas also used 23 from Kyrie Irving in the game, while PJ Washington went for 18. The Mavericks are scoring 117.9 points per game, and are one of the best three point shooting teams in the league.
In the game one loss, it was much of the same for Dallas. Doncic went for 33 points and 13 rebounds, while Irving poured in 31 points and 7 rebounds. The Mavericks only got 14 points from the rest of their starters in that loss.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers played Game 1 without Kawhi Leonard, and the rest stepped up big. James Harden led the way with 28, while Paul George added 22. Ivaca Zubac was strong in that game as well, with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
Leonard played in Game two, and scored 15 points on 7 for 17 shooting. Harden was strong again with 22, and George also added 22. During the regular season, the Clippers scored more than 115 points per game. Los Angeles made 38.1% from downtown.
The winner of this series will get a shot at the top seeded Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder won on Wednesday and lead the series 2-0 over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Clippers Contend in Dallas
This is going to be a great game. In fact, this is going to be an incredible series. Both these teams can take down the top seeded Thunder in the second round if they get there. We like Dallas to win this game at home, but we are going to take the Los Angeles Clippers at +4.5.
