Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings Betting Preview

An exciting opening weekend in the NBA with resounding results kicked off the 2023 playoffs.

One of the best games of the weekend came in the opener between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. The two teams were explosive and dynamic from start to finish and will meet again on Monday night.

As far as teams go, these two are right down the road from each other and could be treated as rivals. The travel time is incredibly favorable for both rosters.

In game one, De’Aaron Fox got the best of the Warriors and erupted for nearly 40 points. From start to finish he was unstoppable and the Warriors struggled to defend them.

Despite winning the opening game of the series, the Kings find themselves as underdogs on their home court again Monday night as the Warriors are favored at -1.

Missing their mark late in the game

Without a doubt, the Warriors will have no trouble scoring this series, but the defense down the stretch in crunch time really got the best of them.

Steph Curry left his mark on the game in more ways than one, but he and the Warriors came up a little bit short.

It’s important to remember that it is only one game, and there will be a long way to go in the series.

Figuring out the best way to defend Fox is going to be the top priority for the Warriors the rest of the way. Time will tell if it is even possible.

Resounding success in their home opener

Fans of the Kings were ecstatic as this was their first playoff series in years, ending the longest drought in the NBA.

They have one of the fastest and high-flying rosters in the NBA. Between Fox and Malik Monk, their scoring was unstoppable and they were unstoppable down the stretch.

For all who doubted the Kings coming into the game one opener, a lot of those doubts were put to rest almost immediately with how well they looked the part of their seeding.

Playing with only one day of rest in between games is going to be a quick turnaround for both teams, but the Kings’ home court may be able to carry them through these first two matchups.

Warriors @ Kings Betting Preview

As one of the marquee series of the entire first round of the playoffs, both the Kings and the Warriors are high level offenses that can get buckets however they need to.

Golden State will need Andrew Wiggins to get his feet back under him if they want to have a chance in this series, but the Kings might just be a little too fast for him at the moment.

For Sacramento to be underdogs for the second straight game in a row is incredibly surprising, and it just gives them more bulletin board material against a team where they already have an advantage.

Take the Kings to win again on their home court in game two as the underdog at +1.
