Troy Merritt

The biggest underdog of the tournament around, the Osage Iowa native is 31 years old. Merritt shot a -5 in round one, and -2 in round 2 to put him just a stroke behind Jordan Spieth, who is clearly the favorite. He sits ahead of names the likes of bigger PGA names such as Patrick Reed, Danny Lee and Jim Furyk. Merritt ranks 165th on the Money List, and has made nearly $400,000 this season.

Graham DeLaet

The 35 year old from Canada has made over $1M on the course this season. He came into the Travelers with a 74th ranking on the Money List. The Canadian came into the event as 50/1 odds to win it all. DeLaet heads into the final two days with a chance, just 3 strokes back of Spieth, along with several others.

Wesley Bryan

Making his debut on the PGA Tour in 2016, the University of South Carolina golfer is 43rd on the PGA Money list. He came into the Travelers with a 125/1 odds. Bryan has missed the cut in three of his last four events coming into this event.

Anirban Lahiri

The 29 year old from India will have a birthday this week, and a win in Connecticut would be the icing on the cake. Lahiri came into the event listed at 100/1 odds. Lahiri ranks 45th on the money list, and has earned more than $1.5M. Lahiri finished second at the Memorial, and was not eligible for the Masters. This is a guy that can go way low on a daily basis. Consistency is something he has been fighting.

Daniel Summerhays

Out of Brigham Young University, Summerhays had a good first two days of the event, which puts him right in the mix. He was given 100/1 odds heading into the tournament, and he currently ranks 137th on the money list. Summerhays made the cut at the US Open, but had a tough final two days, finishing at +12, including an 81 on the final day.

There it is. Those five players are underdogs in this tournament, and still have a great shot to win it. Best of luck with all your PGA betting, especially this weekend for the Travelers Golf Tournament.
