Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears Betting Preview

The Chicago Bears will be hosting the Detroit Lions on Sunday with kickoff at Soldier Field slated for 11:00 PM ET.

In a battle of two teams struggling to come away with wins, one of them is actually going to be victorious on Sunday. Between the Lions and the Bears, it is hard to say which team has underachieved more. But, a winner will emerge.

Most Detroit fans believed that the firing of Matt Patricia was imminent for a long time. And now that it has finally happened, we will see what the team is made of. It seems that many players on Patricia’s teams were not too happy with him. The tweet from Darius Slay says it all.

Chicago, meanwhile, should probably bring in a new coach as well after this season. Matt Nagy always seems to be in over his head. The losses have been piling up, losers of five in a row now. Is a win finally coming?

These two teams played on Opening Day of the season. The Bears came away with the win over the Lions 27-23. Chicago saw Mitchell Trubisky start the season strong with three passing touchdowns. Anthony Miller led the way with 76 yards.

ODDS:

The spread for Sunday’s game favors Chicago by three points. The over/under is set at 44.

Detroit Seeks Road Win

With four wins and seven losses thus far, The Lions have not been their best selves. Matthew Stafford has been underachieving, and injuries have riddled them. The hope at this point would have been at least a .500 record.

But, they are where they were meant to be. They have not won a playoff game since drafting Matthew Stafford in 2009. Three trips to the playoffs are great. But no wins to show for it.

A win on Sunday could kickstart the Darrell Bevell era with positive news.

Bears Hope to End Skid, Climb Back Into Playoff Race

Another start for Mitchell Trubisky is very likely on Sunday. Clearly, he does not have the support of his team. The tweet from wide receiver Anthony Miller after the game basically spoke for the whole team.

Mitch was not a good pick. Trading up and bypassing Mahomes and Deshaun Watson is a bad look. Nothing is going right in Chicago, man. They were 5-1. Now at 5-6, there is a lot of uncertainty.

You know what they say, winning cures all. But does this team even know how to do that anymore?

Lions Win

There is not a team in the league that Chicago can beat right now.  Matt Nagy and his tenure as the head coach of the Bears could be coming to an end. The Lions would like to see some more inspired play with their new head coach in place. This seems like a good spot to bet the Lions. Bet on the Lions over the Bears on Sunday.
