After all of the ups and downs that have been part of the 2023 playoff experience, the Denver Nuggets have reigned supreme over the Phoenix Suns in this best of seven series.
From the jump of the first game, Nikola Jokic has been, without question, the most dominant player in this series and arguably the most dominant player in the entire postseason.
His game two performance absolutely carried the Nuggets to a new height that was completely unexpected, and his other starters were having some of the worst games of their young careers.
It didn’t matter, because Jokic was able to score on the Phoenix team at will.
The Suns have a lot to figure out with this roster and now an even bigger gap to fill with the recently announced absence of Chris Paul for the rest of this series.

Many questioned the potential three-peat for Nikola Jokic and the MVP award, but it is immediately clear through one-and-a-half rounds why he is so special.
There is not a player in the league that wouldn’t benefit from having him on their team, and now he has found a way to be ball-dominant and score at will, something we hadn’t seen for much of the regular season.
It has completely reinvigorated the Nuggets and absolutely put the Suns on their heels, as Deandre Ayton has no chance of keeping up with him in this matchup.
If Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. find their shot after a rough game two, this series could be over in a heartbeat.
Dominance from both Kevin Durant and Devin Booker
After acquiring Durant in the trade deadline, the Suns soared in the title odds and were a darling pick for many experts in the league.
Without a competent second unit, Phoenix has struggled beyond the two superstars, and now have their backs against the wall in a pivotal game three at home.
Durant and Booker need to step up in a way that is historic, and they are the only two on this roster that can truly will the team to victory.
If not, this could be a legacy-defining series for the both of them, for better or for worse.
Nuggets at Suns Betting Prediction
As two of the top teams in the West, it is a shame that the series has been so lopsided through the first two games.
Jokic has been unstoppable, and he has the Phoenix defense completely befuddled on what to do every possession.
Be on the lookout for Murray to bounce back after a horrendous shooting performance in game two, and take Denver as underdogs to win this game on the road at +4.
If they pull out a win here, this series will be all but over.
