Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens Tuesday Night Football Betting Preview

Potential playoff spots are on the line in a rare Tuesday night tilt, as the stumbling Dallas Cowboys are in Baltimore to take on the Ravens. Andy Dalton hasn’t exactly thrived under center in Dallas, and the team is on par with the Eagles, well below New York and Washington for the top of the division. It does not seem they will be heading to the postseason in 2021.

Baltimore, meanwhile, has had struggles of their own. The Ravens are still sitting above .500, but they are on the outside of the playoff picture, desperate to keep their hopes alive.

The Ravens are favored to win by nine points. The over/under is set at 44.5.

Dallas Seeks Critical Win

For a good stretch of the season, Dallas‘ record, while putrid, still kept them in the playoff hunt. The NFC East was floundering, with all four teams losing just about every single game. But now that New York and Washington have put together winning streaks, the divisional landscape looks extremely different.

The injury to Dak Prescott still looms over the Cowboys. Dalton has played one more game than Prescott this season, but trails Dak by almost 1,000 yards, with half as many touchdowns.

Passing difficulties have made things more complicated for Ezekiel Elliott as well. His 707 rushing yards barely crack the Top 10, and with just five touchdowns this season, the Cowboys haven’t been able to consistently “Feed Zeke” as they’ve done in the past.

The Cowboys’ run defense has been atrocious this year, allowing 156.4 yards per game. They’ll have their hands full against a Baltimore team that boasts the league’s best rushing attack entering Week 13.

Baltimore Desperate For a Victory

For the Ravens, winning has been eluding them the last several weeks. Baltimore has let some winnable games fall by the wayside, and they’ve seen their record fall to 6-5. The losses to both Tennessee and New England saw mistakes they made cost them in a big way. With a chance to take down division rival Pittsburgh, the Ravens slumped down the stretch without MVP Lamar Jackson, who missed the game due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Baltimore will get some players back from the COVID list for Tuesday’s game, but will that be enough to lift them up? The pass rush and the secondary will need to be ready to make sure the talented Dallas receivers are kept in check and make life miserable for Elliott.

A win would move the Ravens one game behind Miami and Indianapolis for the final AFC Playoff spot.

Baltimore Bounces Back in a Big Way

In a virtual must-win game, Baltimore needs to answer the bell and make a statement that they’re still one of the AFC’s best teams. On paper, they’re a better team than the Cowboys, but it’s all about how they execute. Jackson has a field day against a porous Dallas defense, and Baltimore walks away as a winner.
