It’s been an outstanding season, and we are so pumped for the final two weeks of the regular season in College Football. College Football conference championships will then take place, and then the College Football playoff. It’s time to give an update on the betting odds for the top teams in the country to win the national title. Here are the updated odds:
Michigan Wolverines +220
The Wolverines are full of controversy with the suspension of Coach Harbaugh. But, when push comes to shove, this is one of the most talented teams in College Football. Without a loss, the question will be what happens to the loser of the rivalry game against Ohio State. Michigan has owned the most recent history between these two teams, but this one has an extra level of spicy coming up.
Georgia Bulldogs +250
The back to back national champions just keep winning football games. Run the football. Pass the football. Defend the football, and do all those things well. The Bulldogs are getting Brock Bowers back, and at the tight end he comes a cheat code, and impossible for opponents to stop. Look for Georgia and Alabama in the SEC title game, and probably room for Georgia to lose that game and still get into the College Football playoff.
Alabama Crimson Tide +750
Coach Saban’s Crimson Tide just keep winning. They have just the one loss on the season, early in the season to Texas. The quarterback spot is figuring itself out, and everything else seems to be coming in order. Alabama is going to be really difficult to take down, whether it’s Auburn in the season finale or the SEC title game against Georgia. The Crimson Tide winning that game is best case scenario for the SEC. If the Crimson Tide lose, its hard to see a path they get in with two losses.
Ohio State Buckeyes +800
Ryan Day and his Buckeyes just keep winning games. It’s not done quietly, as they seem to be in the middle of the Michigan stealing signs scandal. The biggest question with the Buckeyes is at quarterback, and that seems to be improving each week. One key for the Buckeyes, their receiver is the best player on the field every time they play. That will go a long ways for this Big Ten contender.
Florida State Seminoles +900
The Seminoles are one of the unbeaten teams left in College Football. This team should not be too threatened as the regular season comes to an end with a cupcake then a Florida team that continues to underachieve. The Atlantic Coast Conference is about as down as it has been, so getting through the title game should not be too big of an issue. The Seminoles come into Week 12 of the season at +900 odds to win it all.
Oregon Ducks +900
Dan Lanning and his Ducks are currently on the outside looking in for the College Football playoff. Bo Nix and the Ducks are eager for a rematch at the Washington Huskies. Washington is the only team to take down the Ducks this season. There is a good chance of that game getting a rematch in the Pac-12 title game. Oregon will have a tough task against rival Oregon State first. The Ducks are 9/1 odds to win it all.
Washington Huskies +1300
Oddly enough, despite being Oregon head to head, their odds are worse than the Ducks to win it all. The oddsmakers are not believing in Michael Penix Jr and the Huskies as much as Oregon. Washington still has two tough Pac-12 games to get through, and then the Pac-12 title game. If they win out, they should have the inside track to slide in to the College Football playoff standings, but that game against Oregon in the Pac-12 title game could be a final decider.
Texas Longhorns +1800
The Longhorns would love to have the Red River Rivalry game back. In fact, just a few second of the game. The loss to Oklahoma is what is putting them behind the eight ball when it comes to the College Football playoff. Currently, the Longhorns look to be one of the teams to head to the Big 12 title game. They will await their opponent with action over the final two weeks of the season. In some ways, the Longhorns would love a rematch with the Sooners, but regardless, they will have to win and get some luck on their side from other teams to get into the playoff.
