In College Football on Saturday – the Michigan Wolverines will kick off against the Penn State Nittany Lions in a huge Big Ten affair. The 19th ranked Michigan Wolverines come into the game with a 5-1 record on the season. The Wolverines won on the road at Indiana last week. The lone loss for Michigan came at home to their rivals – the Spartans of Michigan State.
Penn State, led by head coach James Franklin has moved to #2 in the latest Associated Press poll. The Nittany Lions have won six straight games to start 2017. The Nittany Lions are coming off a blowout win on the road at Northwestern last week. Penn State has played just one competitive game; at Iowa, where they won 21-19. Penn State is -9.5 in this game over Michigan.
The Penn State Nittany Lions come into the game as the best defensive team in all of college football. Penn State is allowing just 9 points per game. Offensively, the Nittany Lions are red hot, as they are 15th, scoring nearly 40 points per game. The Nittany Lions are led by quarterback Trace McSorley and running back Saquon Barkley.

Wolverines Looking to Spring Upset
The Michigan Wolverines would love to spring a big upset and get back into the national title picture. The Wolverines will have to do a better job of scoring points if they want to get the job done on the road. The Wolverines scored just 10 in the loss to the Spartans. On the season, Michigan is scoring 27.2 points per game on the season, which ranks 84th in college football.
The defense once again has been a bright spot for Michigan. The Wolverines have yet to allow a team to score more tha n 20 points in a game this season. That was last week in overtime at Indiana. The Wolverines will go home for their next two games, as they host Rutgers and Minnesota.
Michigan Competes on the Road
This is going to be a great College Football game. Penn State is really good, and tremendous when playing at home. They have the best player on the field, and that will be tough for the Wolverines to defend. But, the Michigan defense is going to step up to the challenge and make this a competitive football game.
In the end though – Penn State comes away with the home win here. But, Michigan does all they can to put a scare in them, and covers the spread. The final bet on Saturday is the Michigan Wolverines +9.5 over the Penn State Nittany Lions.
