Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks Game 3 Betting Preview

Brooklyn Nets v Milwaukee Bucks

The Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks will do battle again on Thursday. Thankfully for Milwaukee, there is an extra day off between games this time. It will not be easy to face off with a team that has knocked their socks off in consecutive contests. Given how they dominated the Miami Heat, it has been super disappointing to see the efforts they have turned in.

Even with James Harden not playing, the Nets look to be unstoppable. Who is going to get in their way? What is stopping them from continuing to dominate? It would appear nothing, and the eight-man rotation they employed during the first three quarters of game 2 looked very good. Bruce Brown slid right into the starting five while they got a great bench run from both Landry Shamet and Mike James.

Milwaukee does not have an answer for anything their opponents are doing. Kevin Durant is cooking everybody they put on him. The bench scoring is not there like it was against Miami, as Bryn Forbes and Bobby Portis are not playing good basketball right now. Khris Middleton is shooting as well as the ball boy at this point. If he does not step up in game 3, it will be yet another blowout.

The Bucks are not dead yet. But if they lose this one, it’s a wrap.

ODDS

Surprisingly, MIL -4 is the game 3 spread favorites. The over/under is set at 234.5 points.

Nets Trying for 3-0 Lead

The last time the Nets made the conference finals, they were still playing in New Jersey. Jason Kidd was their leader, and Kenyon Martin had not yet bolted for Denver. It was a simpler time and one where they reached back-to-back NBA Finals. This time, they might have the potential to win several titles.

Two summers ago, Brooklyn opted to sign Kyrie Irving, even though D’Angelo Russell was coming off an All-Star season. The team made the playoffs and went against the Philadelphia 76ers in a heated battle. Following the addition of Irving, Kevin Durant joined the team. A year of waiting had to happen as KD healed up. And now, look at them.

The only way Brooklyn is losing this game is if the Milwaukee crowd is boisterous. And if KD has an off game. But it’s unlikely.

Milwaukee Nearing the Brink

For three years, Milwaukee has been great in the regular season. But, in the last two, they lost too early in the playoffs. It might be happening again. Had the Bucks lost to the Nets in those two games in May, they might have been able to avoid them for an extra round. But you can’t play hypotheticals now.

This is a great team, but an underachieving one. Donte DiVincenzo being out hurts, but they would be down 2-0 even if he was playing. Middleton is missing everything. Giannis Antetokounmpo is way off on every foul shot he takes. Jrue Holiday can only do so much.

The Bucks need to rain in threes and also use their size on the interior if they want to win this game, which they are shockingly favored to win.

NETS WIN

Sorry, Bucks. Like actually, very sorry. Brooklyn will go up 3-0 with this victory.
