Yuval Bronshtein Finally Wins His First WSOP Bracelet

Yuval Bronshtein managed to win his first WSOP bracelet at last. He has been actively playing poker for very long and has been participating in many WSOP tournaments. In fact, Bronshtein was a member of a final table ten times in total, but he never had enough luck to win the first prize and a bracelet until recently. Bronshtein won Event #3: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw, which was a part of the 50th Annual World Series of Poker. He won a total of $96,278 topping the biggest field that this form of the game ever seen.

After he managed to eliminate Ajay Chabra, who has been the main obstacle during the entire final table play, Bronshtein was able to celebrate, and the first thing he did was call his mother to tell her about the success. He added that he was “overflowing with happiness” at that moment. Furthermore, he added that the type of poker he had played in the event was considered the “purest form” of poker and that he agreed with that statement as it was always about reading people’s faces and actions.

The start of the last day was not very promising for Yuval Bronshtein, who had the second shortest stack. Therefore he had to work to get to the top, earning one chip at a time. Some of the opponents he faced were really experienced players, one of them being Ajay Chabra himself who was a dominant chip leader throughout the final day. Bronshtein added that he never lost believing in himself and that he had seen people come back and even winning various tournaments despite being short-stacked for most of the time. He concluded that it was always more fun to play the game with a short stack as comebacks were fun to watch.

The Final Table Results

The seventh place was reserved for Craig Chait from the United States, who managed to win a total of $10,232. He was soon followed by a player named Bjorn Geissert, who was the only German player in the final table. Geissert won $13,892 as the sixth-place player. Michael Sortino ended up in fifth place for $19,313, and he was followed by Steven Tab in fourth place for $27,477. The third place was reserved for Jerry Wong, who won $39,986.

Therefore, the final part of the tournament was played between Ajay Chabra and Yuval Bronshtein. Bronshtein was the only Israeli poker player in the final table. At the moment the two players managed to reach the heads-up play, they were both very content as they managed to battle their way through a field that was record-breaking. Chabra had a 2:1 chip lead, which means that Bronshtein had one last obstacle to overcome. At one point, Bronshtein went all in, and Chabra expected to win the tournament, but luck was on Bronshtein’s side and he equaled the chip number after that hand.
