WSOP Online Releases the Bracelet Events Schedule

Last year, the World Series of Poker took place mainly on the web due to the COVID-19 restrictions that resulted in poker rooms around the globe closing down for a while. It turned out that the online version of WSOP was very popular, and many players had an opportunity to win a bracelet by playing poker on the web.

The officials of WSOP announced a schedule for 2021, covering all online events that will offer a gold bracelet as a reward. There will be a total of 33 bracelets, and the first event will start on July 1. The last event will be on August 1, when the tournament will officially wrap up.

Poker players will have an opportunity to compete for the bracelets on WSOP.com, and this will be available to everyone located within the borders of New Jersey and Nevada. However, the official press release did leave things open regarding other states, stating that players from those “pending regulatory approval” could become part of the WSOP.com family until then as well.

Ty Stewart, Executive Director of WSOP, claimed that the series is of great value and promised plenty of satellite tournaments that will allow players to win a seat for one of the bracelet events. He concluded that poker deserved “a big finish to 2021” and that they were looking for the best way to “heat things up” in the summer.

33 Bracelets to Be Awarded to the Best Players

WSOP.com organized the event schedule to cater to specific subsets of players and help them plan their trips to Nevada or New Jersey accordingly. There will be “themes” for certain parts of the tournament, such as Micro Madness and PLO Week.

The opening week is called the “Premiere Week,” and it will feature a total of eight different events. Perhaps the most important one in this batch is the opening $500 Big Kick-Off, which will offer no-limit hold’em. Another big tournament in the Premiere Week is the $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack.

The next part of the series is called Micro Madness and will consist of three tournaments, with each of them requiring $400 or less for buy-ins, allowing players on a budget to take part and try to win a gold bracelet.

The double-bracelet day will feature two events during a single day. One will be a $500 event, and the other will be a no-limit hold ’em Lucky 7s High Roller, which will require the buy-in of $7,777. This will be the biggest buy-in in the entire series and is bound to attract some of the most popular poker players in the world.

The Championship Week will start on July 26 and will offer the $1,000 PLO Championship, as well as a $3,2000 High Roller Championship. There will also be a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship, and the most important event of the series, the $500 Grand Finale, which will offer $1 million in guaranteed prizes, according to WSOP.com.
