Winamax Poker Open High Roller in Dublin — Patrick Clarke Wins!

Having managed to top the field which consisted of a total of 194 players, the poker high-roller Patrick Clarke managed to win €40,640 at the Winamax Poker Open High Roller in Dublin, Ireland. He added another great amount of money to his resume, and it seems that this one was particularly important as he played it on the home ground in his motherland.

However, Clarke is not unfamiliar with winning on the home ground. In fact, his two biggest live cashes were actually won in Dublin. On top of that, he has managed to record four tournament victories in Ireland. He did not hide his happiness, stating that his two biggest victories are perhaps the most important ones since he achieved them in Dublin. He added that he loved the Irish capital as it was his hometown!

Moreover, Clarke stated that another reason he loved playing poker in Dublin was that he knew almost everyone. He added that he loved Winamax Tours taking place in Dublin and that he goes there every year in order to test his poker skills and luck.

More importantly, he goes there to hang out with other fellow poker players. He concluded that there was always something to do when taking part in those tournaments, even when the players were not actually playing poker.

The final day was pretty difficult for Clarke, as he was 28th out of 29 players in total who returned to their tables. However, he managed to achieve three double-ups and continued playing well. He stated that he had just waited for the “right opportunities.” It seems that he managed to find them as he became a chip leader at the third level when there were only three tables left.

The Final Table Results

After Maxim Buyl busted in seventh place, the players went to dinner and returned for the final part of the tournament. There were a total of six players remaining, and the first one to hit the rail was Aladin Reskallah. He ended up sixth as his sixes failed to beat ace-king that Clarke had in his pocket. The Frenchman ended up with a total of €7,550 in his pocket.

The next one to lose all his chips was his fellow countryman, Matthieu Lamagnere, who ended up fifth and managed to win a total of €10,580.

Fourth place was occupied by a Hungarian player named Gabor Szabo, who won a total of €14,810, and another player from France named Philippe Guillou ended up third, winning €20,730.

The two players left in the game are Jose Quintas and Clarke. Quintas managed to double up and try to take the title away from Clarke. However, the Irishman did his best to win this one on the home court, and he managed to beat Quintas in the end.

The Portuguese took second place and had to receive the consolation prize which was €29,020. Clarke won another title in Dublin, and it looks like he is going to have more in the future!
