The esteemed World Series of Poker is holding certified qualifying games in New York. Turning Stone Resort & Casino prides itself as the host venue of the events.

The Oneida Indian Nation owned and operated casino has already started hosting satellite rounds in its poker room. This is the largest poker room in New York. These games started on November 1 and will run through winter and spring in 2020.

The WSOP Circuit Event will highlight the event starting on March 17 and ending on March 28 in 2022. Players participating in the event will qualify for the final round of the Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas.

Expressing his joy about hosting satellite events, CEO of Oneida Nation Enterprises Ray Halbritter said the company was proud to be considered the best poker destination in New York. He added that hosting the WSOP satellites means it builds on the poker room’s reputation. Ray said that his company was excited to host the events and offer unmatched opportunities to visitors.

The Advantage of Hosting the Tournament

WSOP is the largest, wealthiest, and most esteemed gaming event in the globe. It launched in 1970 and has awarded over $3.29 billion in prizes.

The matches at Turning Stone are expected to attract traffic to the resorts. Meanwhile, people visiting the casino will also spend money on dining venues, suits, and other facilities.

The Oneida Nation vice president for communication said players would travel from all over the country to play the tournament. He added that these players would take advantage of the amenities the casino has to offer. Joel Barkin noted being the WSOP host was a good thing as it came with several advantages.
