John Juanda managed to top the field of 84 entrants (with 29 reentries), winning Triton Poker Montenegro HKD 250,000 Short Deck Event, which was a part of the 2019 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro. He won a total of HKD 4,720,000, which is approximately $613,600.
Juanda is a member of the Poker Hall of Fame, and this is his second Triton Poker victory, with the first event being even bigger than this one – Triton Poker Macau 1,000,000 Main Event. He won the Macau Main Even back in October 2017 where he won HKD 22,410,400 ($2,872,299). At the moment, John Juanda has more than $25 million in earnings from participating in live tournaments.

Needless to say, the player was really excited about the victory. He has been playing only short-deck events for the past nine events, and this event was definitely his greatest achievement in that period. He stated that he felt great and that it was always an amazing feeling to win such a tournament.
Final Table Results
There were a total of 12 players who went back on the last day to test their skills and luck and try to claim the title. After Danny Tang, Winfried Yu, and Jesus Cortes were eliminated, the tournament entered the money phase. The first player to be eliminated and win the lowest amount of money in this tournament was actually one of the co-founders of Triton Poker, Paul Phua, who won HKD 615,000 ($79,950). He had pocket jacks, only to come across pocket queens that Daniel Dvoress had.
The final seven players created the final table, and Michael Soyza was the first player to hit the rail as the seventh-place player. The Malaysian poker professional won a total of HKD 780,000 ($101,400). He was followed by Daniel Cates in sixth place, who won HKD 980,000 ($127,400).
The fifth place belonged to Sergey Lebedev from Russia, who won HKD 1,250,000 ($162,500), and Peter Jetten managed to snatch HKD 1,620,000 ($210,600) as the fourth-place player. Another player from Malaysia, Wai Kin Yong, ended up in third place for HKD 2,150,000 ($279,500).
Daniel Dvoress and John Juanda clashed in the heads-up part of the game. They were pretty much even in chips, but that changed afterward. In the last hand, Juanda managed to flop a flush, and he even had an open-ended straight flush draw. He held a queen-jack suited in his hand, while Dvoress had pocket aces along with the nut flush draw. Juanda went all-in as he managed to have a flush, and Dvoress was confident enough that he called this, which resulted in him ending a runner-up and winning HKD 3,160,000 ($410,800).
