Three MGM Properties to Launch a New Poker Tour

A new poker tour is about to be launched by three MGM properties — MGM National Harbor, MGM Springfield and Borgata. The three properties will start a franchise called MGM East Coast Poker Tour (ECPT). It will have a total of five stops at the moment.

The first stop will take place at MGM National Harbor starting Feb. 5. It will last until Feb. 17, and players will have an opportunity to take part in several events. This stop will be called Potomac Winter Poker Open.

The two stops after that will take place in Borgata. The first one will be on April 7-24, and it is named Borgata Spring Poker Open.

After that, poker players can return to the property to take part in the Borgata Summer Poker Open, which will last from July 7 to July 24.

The tour will return to MGM National Harbor shortly after that. In fact, it will overlap for two days with the Borgata Summer PO, as it will start on July 22. The Potomac Summer Poker Open will end on Aug. 3.

Finally, just nine days after that, the tour will wrap up at MGM Springfield starting Aug. 12. It will last for 12 days and is named The Armory Classic.

Portfolio president Jorge Perez stated that MGM offered the “best poker product on the East Coast.” He also added that the ECPT was a great opportunity for MGM to showcase the three properties which were considered industry leaders at the moment.

On top of that, Perez claims that poker players will be able to enjoy the great tournament series.

Leaderboard — The Most Successful Players Can Win a Lot

The five events will be linked by a leaderboard, and players will have an opportunity to collect points. They can do that just by taking part in any of the qualifying events and doing the best they can to rank as high as possible.

The best 90 players will win a great prize — an entry for one additional event which is part of the ECPT series and takes place on Nov. 15-20.

This event is called the Borgata Fall Poker Open/MGM Resorts East Coast Poker Tour $2,000,000 Guaranteed Championship. The entry fee for it is $3,500, but those who perform well in the previous five stops will have free entry.

Moreover, they will receive complimentary overnight stays at the hotel. Players who are not in the top 90 will have a chance to receive prizes such as a Cartier watch, which is worth approximately $2,500, $250 in room credits, promotional gift cards worth $500 for MGM Resorts, and more.

There are plenty of ways to earn these points. Players can even earn the so-called “Participation Points” by just taking part in many events. Make sure to check out the point system to find out more about it. If you’re interested in taking part in one of these tournaments, feel free to learn more about them.
