Six players advanced to Day 2 of the 2022 Poker Masters high roller series’ penultimate event with a combined over $178 tournament earnings, several Super High Roller Bowl rings, World Poker Tour (WPT) championships, and World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. Sean Winter beat 53 opponents to win $432,000 in the $25,000 buy-in no-limit hold ’em tournament. The victory increased his poker career earnings to over $22.9 million.
He won the title a few days after being the runner-up in Event No.7: $25,000 buy-in no-limit. The poker pro’s recent victory and second-place finish have helped him lead the Poker Masters Purple Jacket race.
Moreover, he has amassed 2,227 PokerGO Tour points so far in 2022 and 466 points in the series. His latest figure has improved his position in the PGT points race to sixth place.
Inter garnered 420 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) points in the tournament. It was his 16th POY-qualified final table this year and third title. He is second in the 2022 POY race standings with over $3.4 million year-to-date POY earnings and 5,198 points, trailing Stephen Chidwick by 979 points.

Action on the Final Day
Eight top finishers shared the pool. Victoria Livscitz got busted in eighth place with $54,000 while Daniel Colpoys left the table in seventh place with $67,500 on day 1. Justin Bonomo, an all-time money leader, had the largest stack early on Day 2 thus giving him the advantage to increase his $59.5 million earnings.
Jason Koon, a bracelet champion, was in the middle of the chip standings when the action began on the final day. Yet, he was the first finalist to get busted after running his stack and losing a big flip to Winter.
The player went all in with AClub SuitQClub Suit after several minutes against Nick Schulman’s AHeart SuitQDiamond Suit. Four diamonds appeared on the board and earned Schulman a flush while ending Koon’s run in sixth place with $81,000. Yet, it increased his career earnings to over $40.7 million and improved his position on the earnings leaderboard to seventh place.
Brian Rast used KDiamond Suit7Diamond Suit to call-in from a big blind and his remaining 14 big blinds. He faced Winters’s small-blind shove as he held JClub Suit9Club Suit.
Winter turned a flush draw and flopped an open-ended straight draw as the river finished his straight and eliminated Rast in fifth place with $108,000. The latter has almost $23.1 million in career earnings.
Seth Davies followed Rast in fourth place with $135,000 when he used A-5 to shove 10 big blinds from a small blind, while Bonomo used K-6 to call from a big blind. The latter got the trips and win from the river after it gave him another king.
Bonomo took the chip lead as a three-handed play began. Winter made a large 4.75x big blind raise after collecting pocket jacks in a small blind. The two players clashed, but Bonomo lost a classic preflop to Winter.
The former finished third with $189,000, and Winter got an over 4.5:1 chip lead over Schulman. Their battle lasted for almost an hour before Winter used ADiamond Suit7Diamond Suit to limp in from the button, and Schulman used KSpade Suit4Spade Suit to move all-in for almost 25 big blinds in the final hand. Winter earned the title and pot from 9Club Suit, and Schulman finished second with $283,500.
