Last week we reported that Lock Poker would be leaving the Revolution Gaming Network to pursue an independent network of their own. We then reported that Revolution Gaming was trying to hold on to Lock players by redirecting them to another poker site, Pure Poker.
Lock was not happy about this development and stated that Revolution would be liable if they were in breach of contract which includes falsifying information or providing misleading information, such as providing another online poker room.
Now, Revolution has fired back at Lock, claiming the site owned a large amount of growing debt to the network.
Pokerfuse received a statement from IAA Services Limited, the company that owns Revolution, last week. IAA Services Limited claimed that Lock Poker owned a significant amount of money to the network. In the statement, IAA reported that Revolution tried ‘very hard’ to help the online poker room with their issues including slow withdrawals, player segregation help, player losses and more.
However, according to IAA, Lock was not making payments to Revolution and they continued to have a growing debt that was quite large. Revolution then had to segregate the players at Lock from almost all the cash games on the network.
A final notice was sent to Lock based on the statement from IAA and this notice was sent in October. The company now plans on taking legal action against Lock to try and recover the money they are owed as well as claim funds for damages caused by the online poker company.
Lock is denying the claims by Revolution, as Social Media Director for Lock, Shane Bridges, commented that Lock does not owe the Network. Bridges stated that the CEO of Revolution is making ‘untrue and defamatory statements about Lock’ and specifically stating that the company is not able to make transfer payments for players.
Bridges continued to state that Lock is confident that the statements by Revolution will be exposed ‘as lies’ as well as the attempt to cover up the actions that were taken by the network operator.
