PokerStars fans are anticipating the introduction of Mystery Bounty Poker events in Sunday Million on January 7, 2024. The renowned poker tournament will have an action-packed format including the $1 million guarantee and $109 buy-in.
Mystery bounty events have rapidly gained popularity in the online and live poker sectors. Yet, Red Spade will be a new addition.
It resembles an ordinary bounty event whose prize pool is equally divided between bounties and the pool. But, the bounties will be disclosed after a player gets busted.
The poker operator will kick off the huge tournament as part of the New Year Series that will occur between December 24 and January 16. Players will battle it out for guaranteed prizes worth $35 million.
The new Sunday Million Mystery Bounty will last for two days. Each entrant can make four re-entries that they will access during the four-hour late registration period.

The second bounty tournament will run concurrently with the Sunday Million and have the same structure. It will last for two days and offer players a 25,000 starting stack.
The Trial Mystery Bounty Event
PokerStars organized a trial Mystery Bounty event with a $1.10 buy-in and it featured 200 entrants. Players bought all the seats in minutes and each of them received 10,000 chips. But, only 27 entrants shared the prize pool.
The tournament’s initial stage lacked bounties for each elimination. Instead, layers started bagging them in its final stage after they got into the money bracket. The event had four bounties.
One player won the $28 jackpot bounty. But, there were $22, $13, and $1.04 bounties. Gaming analysts predict that PokerStars might offer a $50,000 jackpot bounty in January.
More Details About the New Year Series
The operator will hold its second New Year Series from Christmas Eve. It will have High, Low, and Medium buy-in ranges for 350 individual events and 158 numbered tournaments.
Therefore, it will resemble the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) and World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). PokerStars’ upcoming series will have other interesting events like a Big $109 Christmas Edition with a $100,000 guarantee, Main Events with a combined $3.75 million guarantee, and New Year Special 2024 events with $1.5 million guarantees.
Interested individuals can compete in the $0.55 satellites to enter the New Year Series tournaments. Still, they can join Special Edition Spin & Go events with $0.75 and $4 buy-ins.
