PokerStars Adds 3 New Players to Team PokerStars Online

PokerStars has announced the signing of three new players to the exclusive Team PokerStars Online stable, bringing the team’s total number to 26.

George ‘Jorj95’ Lind and Dusty ‘Leatherass9’ Schmidt from the United States, and Ukranian, Denys ‘diatty’ Shcherbakov, are the latest to join this elite group who carry the colors of PokerStars into the online poker world.

All three of new signings have impressive poker resumes, playing cash, tournaments and sit and go’s, after years of successfully perfecting their online game.

Dustin Schmidt (screen name: Leatherass9) is a former golf pro who switched to poker after illness. His poker career started after he watched a friend play online and began analyzing the game day after day, quickly becoming a winning player. He started playing on PokerStars in 2007, a place he now calls home.

Now an author, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Schmidt still plays golf but in more than seven million hands online, over 10,000 hours, over five years, he has won more than $3 million and never had a losing month.

His life story will be told in the book “Raise: The Impossibly True Tale of Dusty Schmidt,” to be released later in 2010.

Denys Shcherbakov (screen name: diatty) served his apprenticeship on the video game circuit before making the switch to poker, opening a PokerStars account in 2005. Having started with $5 sit and go’s he’s now at SuperNova status, playing high stakes cash games and ranked as one of the best online players from Ukraine.

George Lind (screen name: Jorj95) was a former computer science student before picking up poker at a local casino. An avid blogger, Lind has made two WCOOP final tables but his aim is always to reach the final table of a big televised event.
