Persson Loses $600K As JRB and Wesley Fei Win Money on Hustler Casino Live

Thursday night’s Hustler Casino Live stream attracted a huge audience and it had more than ten six-figure pots. Wesley Fei got a house and Eric Persson lost a house in the nine-hour action.

A high-stakes cash match started with $50,000 buy-in at $100/$200 stakes and increased as the number of blinds soared. Many players collected more chips during the event.

Jean-Robert Bellande debuted on Hustler Casino Live and was talkative at the table. Some poker diehards predicted that he would incur a six-figure loss, but a late heater late at night turned it into a huge victory.

Alan Keating lost $1.1 million in “MrBeast Game” in May. He showed up in the event with a $500,000 stack and his typical loose play made him lose most of the chips. But he fought back and almost evened before 2:30 a.m. PT.

Over 16,000 viewers were online throughout the night, a huge difference from the 600 concurrent viewers that were in the Live at the Bike during Phil Hellmuth Week’s second night. Nick Vertucci, HCL’s co-owner stated that they “murdered” viewers as they wanted to create a scenario like a crime scene having a coroner and yellow tape.

The Day’s Hand

Bellande’s pocket aces got cracked shortly after his session kicked off. This is common whenever he is in a televised show. But the hand didn’t cost the player most of the $100,000 buy-in.

Instead, he lost a huge chunk of it in his most memorable hand for the night that he played against Fei. The latter didn’t lose a pot for several hours. He made a $33,000 limp-reraise with {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Bellande’s {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} called him.

The flop turned {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} as the two players checked and saw {j-Clubs} on the turn. Action checked JRB with two pair and he wagered $40,000 before the top pair called him.

A {7-Diamonds} appeared on the river and it was Bellande’s brutal card. Still, he went all-in for $86,000 knowing he was beaten after Fei snap-called and took down a $282,000 pot after showing a better two pair.

Bellande exclaimed while standing in his seat. He later said that it was a great hand.

Persson made a costly mistake later in the stream when he tried to bluff Keating, since he was among the loosest players at the table. A {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop turned and Persson placed a $20,000 wager using {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} into a $30,000 pot. Keating held {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} thus making it difficult for Persson’s bet to go through.

The {7-Hearts} turn left Hellmuth’s new opponent drawing dead. But it didn’t deter him from staking an extra $50,000. Keating called and flipped {7-Diamonds} on the river.

Persson opted to go all-in with $150,000 while Keating made a snap-call and won the day’s largest pot, $478,000. The former’s frustrating session ended as he left the table in anger after losing more than $600,000 in nine hours.

He lost another $443,000 pot before that hand after bluffing into Ryusuke’s pocket kings. The latter reached the table late and had a small loss. But, Persson and Mikki Mase were the largest losers in the show.
