Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat Betting Preview

It’s going down in Miami on Tuesday night as the two teams that met in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs last season will duel again. The series was a surprise to many, especially those who support Milwaukee. The Bucks fell to the Heat in five games, watching their season end a lot earlier than they had hoped and/or expected.

There were title aspirations, and it appeared they were not ready to realize their dreams just yet. It did mark the second year in a row that the Bucks advanced, which is excellent given there was a 17-year period without a victorious playoff series. But, now, with Jrue Holiday and some of the other news guys, the pressure is a bit higher.

Miami will be looking to bounce back after taking a loss in their last game. They were able to throttle the Pelicans on Christmas after getting off to a slow start. Duncan Robinson was shooting threes like he was Klay Thompson, absolutely unconscious. This is a great Miami team that is hoping to sneak back into the NBA Finals. Let’s see how they do against Milwaukee.

ODDS:

The spread for Tuesday’s game has the Bucks serving as 5.5-point favorites. The over/under is set at 222.5.

Bucks Seek Their Revenge

The Bucks lost to the Knicks on Sunday, something that nobody really saw coming. They were at full strength, so there isn’t really an excuse to be made for what happened to them. Things just didn’t pan out, and they, like the other teams in the league, could not find an answer to slowing down Alec Burks.

Giannis and Middleton will be looking to bounce back and lead Milwaukee back to .500. They have not lost many regular season games in the past couple of years, racing out to the #1 seed in the conference. Perhaps, it was ultimately the bubble environment and not the Heat that led to Milwaukee’s departure.

They were very focused on social justice, and it may have detracted a little from their play. Nobody can blame them for that but, it’s revenge time.

Heat Look For 2-1 Start

Jimmy Butler and the Heat defeated the Pelicans on Christmas and have had a few nice days off to enjoy it since. They will have gone over 100 hours without a game when they take the floor for this one: a 12:00 start, plus a number of days without a game, followed by an evening showdown.

The rest will likely actually help them, given the short offseason. It was doubly short for Miami and the Lakers, who partook in the 2020 NBA Finals. The league set a record this year for the shortest offseason. Between game 6 of the NBA Finals and this year’s opener, there were just 72 days. This was far and away the quickest.

Miami will hope to continue their reign over the Bucks tonight.
