Event No.24: $7,777 Lucky 7s High Roller of the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online took place on October 11. It attracted 72 entrants who made 16 rebuys. The 88-entry field created a $649,176 prize pool and Jared “jstrizza” Strauss won the tournament after nine hours of play.
He took home his maiden gold bracelet and $181,769 after beating Jeremy “Chipchecka” Ausmus in a heads-up battle. The Hendon Mob indicates that the New York player has more than $40,000 in live poker tournament earnings and he often competes in online events.

Action at the Final Table
The money bubble first, and the eight-handed final table was set after half an hour. The action began after Arian “4632647” Stolt used ace-ten to move all in and faced Jason “TheBigGift” Gooch’s ace-king. But the board ran out an ace-high, and Gooch got the pot from the king kicker while Stolt left the table in eighth place.
Nick “CashUsKlay” Schulman was the new short stack, and he used jack-six to move in during an eight-high flop. Yet, Strauss used king-seven to call him. The board failed to improve Schulman’s hand, and he exited the tournament in seventh place.
Stephen “8betfold” Song collected an ace-three suited after several hands and put his remaining chips in a middle preflop. But, they ran into Ausmus’ pocket aces. Song didn’t get help and left the table in sixth place.
Craig “mrjanovich” Mason got in a flip scenario using pocket threes which faced Gooch’s ace-nine. The board revealed an ace and Mason failed to improve on the river and turn, thus finishing fifth.
Mason’s elimination set up a four-handed play that was back and forth for several minutes before Michael “Unbelievable” Wang used ace-ten to move all in. Yet, Gooch called him using king-jack suited.
The former got a nut flush from the flop and busted the latter in fourth place. Strauss and Gooch competed for a big pot on the river on the nine-high board for a short while.
The former put the latter all-in, and his opponent called after making a crucial decision. Strauss used queen-nine to get the top pair and beat Gooch’s jack-nine, thus eliminating him in third place.
Gooch’s exit set up a tough heads-up match between Ausmus and Strauss, who had a 2-1 chip lead. The play was wild as several big pots went back and forth. But, Ausmus went all-in on a double-paired board on the final hand before Strauss used nine-eight to call him with a full house.
