The International Stadiums Poker Tour is already gaining buzz as players and pros get ready to compete in the massive event for the very first time next year. The poker tour will be based in Europe and already two pros have been signed to the ISPT Team. Michael Mizrachi and Sam Trickett were the first to join the team and now the ISPT has announced they have signed Liz Lieu as well!
The first ISPT event will take place on May 31st 2013 and Mizrachi, Trickett, and Lieu will be among the participants. The tournament will take place inside Wembley Stadium and the organizers of the event are expecting around 30,000 players to hit the stands to compete.
Players will play an online tournament from their stadium seat and the top 3,000 players from the stadium event will then advance to a live tournament. The action will then move from the stadium seats to the field. The prize pool for the event will have a guarantee of €20,000,000 so it would not be surprising if the 30,000 estimation of players competing is increased! The live tournament of the tour stop will be filmed and then broadcast on six different channels.
Lieu is very excited to be working with the International Stadiums Poker Tour.
