Interesting Facts About WSOP Online Super Circuit 2020

One of the biggest online World Series of Poker events wrapped up a couple of days ago. It started on May 3 and ended big on May 31. The festival offered more than $100 million in guaranteed prizes. However, the number of players and their buy-ins exceeded that amount, so more than $130 million was distributed to the best players in the end.

There were a total of 18 WSOP Circuit ring events, meaning 18 winners received one of the most prestigious trophies in poker. Moreover, they all shared $47 million in cash prizes.

The amount of guaranteed money in ring events was $28 million, and that number reached approximately $47 million in the end as many players were interested in taking part of them. One of the main reasons for this is the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, so many poker players who play live poker had to stay at home and settle for the alternative.

Some ring winners even managed to make it to the final table more than once. These players are “Gius2020” from Monaco, “HowdyTeeexas” from Canada, “tepuseenFD” from Uruguay, and “Igutu” from India. All of them managed to also end up as runner ups at least once.

Best Individual Cash Prizes

Although millions were distributed to players, only a couple of players actually managed to win more than a million. The fifth best prize in the festival was won by “Biereux,” who managed to win a total of $885,746. He was the highest-winning player without at least a million in prizes.

The fourth biggest individual payout was won by “HotPot44,” who won $1,181,109. After them, a player from Germany named “schimmelgodx” won $1,271,217.

“Babu$hka” from the UK won $1,611,342, and that’s the second biggest prize in the tournament. The ultimate winner of WSOP Online Circuit is a player who uses the nickname “800-522-4700,” who won a total of $2,187,291.

A leaderboard was also kept. The player who had the most points was Craig “Goblue” Varnell, but he was closely followed by Justin “PetitFoxx” Zhu. Other players who made it to the top 10 on the leaderboard were “MrWheatToast,” “Igutu,” “SUPERUNKNOWN,” “107dalmatass,” “tepuseenFD,” “kimokh,” “tiredfella,” and “TheMadQueen.”

Apart from the ring events, WSOP Online Super Circuit also offered numerous events for high rollers, where more than $39 million was distributed. The player who managed to win the most high roller events was the German professional Fedor Holz who took down three $5,000 high roller events in less than a week.

Other players who achieved great results in high roller events are Michael Soyza, Mikita Badiakouski, Jake Schindler, Artur Martirosian, Daniel Dvoress, Juan Pardo Dominguez, and Kristen Bicknell.

Another great WSOP festival ended, but we’re going to see more from them by the end of the year. So far, the plan for the WSOP to take place in fall is active, but nothing is certain at this point due to the coronavirus.
