While the subject matter of the U.S. Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has been going on for a while, it seems at times there is no light at the end of the tunnel. With the World Trade Organization ruling in favor of Antigua, there is now hope for the other countries that are currently seeking compensation from the United States. These other countries are Japan, India, and the European Union. The WTO ruled that the little Caribbean nation be allowed their $3.4 billion that they claimed the United States cost them by removing their main market for business.

We look like the ugly American.â€Â
In an attempt to solve the problem of dispute, the United States made the announcement that they would be removing online gambling from their list of obligations within the WTO treaty. But, this may have only added fuel to the fire as many allies have filed their own compensation claims against the United States in hopes to gain funds to offset the damage done by the UIGEA.
