Former Full Tilt Players Can Expect another Round of Payments

Full Tilt PokerThe Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section recently approved a new round of payments for former United States members of Full Tilt Poker. Claims Administrator, the Garden City Group, announced the decision which will mark the beginning of payments yet again. These payments will go to petitioners who disputed the account balances in their Full Tilt Poker account. Players who confirmed their account balances and fixed any deficiencies will also be included in the payment round.

The GCG stated that in total, $2.8 million in payments will be sent out to 3,500 petitioners. Those who disputed their account balance will be paid in March if they met one of the following criteria which was set by the Department of Justice:

  • A dispute of $500 or less
  • A dispute between $500.01 and $2,000, if the difference between the Full Tilt account balance and the disputed amount is 20% or less

Additional petitions are still under review and if they are found to be valid, will be paid in distributions in the future. The Garden City Group also stated they are working with the bank the DOJ choose to set up the payment process. Payments should be issued via ACH by the end of this month. The claims administrator plans on providing additional information on the payment process as information is made available.

To prepare for the next round of payments, right before payments are issues, petitioners who receive approval may notice a zero dollar transaction in their bank account. This will be related to the Full Tilt Poker Claim and is a normal part of the testing process to prepare for the payment. Not all banks post such transactions during testing, so players are advised that they may or may not see such a transaction in their statements.

The GCG also pointed out that petitioners who are eligible for repayment but have delinquent debt that qualifies for collection via the Treasury Offset Program will see their payment reduced to pay the debt in part or in whole. More information on the repayment process can be found at the Full Tilt Poker Claims website.
