The Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) casino licensing hearing that will be held at the Nottingham Magistrates Court on Monday, September 24th. If the decision is in favor of DTD, they will set precedence for being the UK’s first legal poker club.
There are three Magistrates presiding over this case. These Magistrates have set aside four days in which to deliberate this case and deliver this judgment. The discussion with between September 24th through the 28th.
Dusk Till Dawn will be not go unchallenged. Three casino’s are trying to impede the opening of the ‘would-be’ largest card room in Europe, sighting grounds of “insufficient demand.†Those casino’s are the Gala, Stanleys and London Clubs International.
Addressing the challenging casino’s, Rob Yong, Managing Director of DTD, said “This has nothing to do with ‘insufficient demand’; it’s just an attempt by the big boys to keep a stranglehold on their monopoly. They only care about profits and not about their players.â€Â
However, the DTD have set their first precedent by becoming the first club to have the full support of the Gaming Board and have already secured their Certificate of Consent.
Based upon this momentous decision, Dusk Till Dawn will open shortly there after. They will be able to accommodate 405 players in the card room, which will make this room four times the capacity of any other card room in the UK.
The city Nottingham will benefit from newly created jobs and providing tourism revenues.
