Daniel Negreanu is a poker pro that is known for being a great guy. An all around great poker player as well as genuine person, Negreanu is known for his game play as well as his charitable donations. The pro gives back when he can and recently announced he is trying to raise $100,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
As a mother myself, this is very admirable. According to PokerNews, Negreanu has set a very high goal and the money raised will go to benefit what talented physicians and employees need to serve the young patients who suffer from numerous diseases, some of which are incurable. Negreanu has pledged to match up to $50,000 in donations, which if the goal is met, would equal $100,000.
Negreanu is encouraging everyone to donate but has upped the stakes a bit. The largest donors will be given a chance to win a dinner with the pro as well as poker session at Negreanu’s home in Las Vegas. So not only will you be donating to a worthwhile cause but you might also have the chance to spend a day with one of the best poker pros in the industry!
