BetMGM Holds Its First Poker Championship at ARIA with a $1 Million Guarantee

BetMGM Poker is among the leading internet gaming and sports gambling operators in the United States. It recently announced that it will venture into the live poker market this summer as it holds a $3,500 buy-in BetMGM Poker Championship at ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, between June 23 and June 26.

The Championship will headline the 2022 ARIA Poker Classic, and the four days of action at the Vegas casino is expected to attract many spectators.

Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM’s Director of Poker, stated in a press release that this will be BetMGM Poker’s first championship to organize in Las Vegas in a busy poker season. He added that ARIA is a popular poker brand and is thrilled that the BetMGM Poker Championship will be part of the 2022 Poker Classic.

The director stated that BetMGM Poker has close relations with MGM Resorts International. They will continue linking in-person and online players through its event programming.

The $1 Million Guarantee

The BetMGM Poker Championship will have a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool that it might surpass if more players sign up in the summer. PokerNews will live stream the event on-site, and fans can visit its live reporting hub to get the latest tournament updates.

A $600 buy-in BetMGM Poker Mystery Bounty event will take place next on June 25. It will be ARIA’s first time running it. Most poker players get excited when playing Mystery Bounty events as they make the game more challenging. Thus, the Bounty event is likely to have a huge field.

The ARIA Mystery Bounty event will occur several weeks before the $1,000 buy-in Million Dollar Bounty No-Limit Hold’em tournament at the 2022 WSOP.

It will feature a $1,000,000 mystery bounty. Other events which will be in the ARIA Poker Classic running from June 1 to July 17 include a $400 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Ladies tournament with a $50,000 guarantee, and it will start on June 28.

Omaha poker enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice as the ARIA Poker Classic will have four Pot-Limit Omaha events having $600 to $1,000 buy-ins. They include a $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and will run on July 3.

The series will have a $600 buy-in H.O.R.S.E tournament with a $50,000 guaranteed pool that will take place on June 9. A Player’s Choice freeroll will run on July 17 and wrap up the 2022 ARIA Poker Classic. A Twitter vote will select its entrants.

How Players Can Qualify for the BetMGM Poker Championship

BetMGM Poker has prize packages for 15 or more bettors from each American market, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. They include a BetMGM Poker Championship buy-in, a five-night vacation at ARIA, and travel expenses.

Matt Berkey and Darren Elias are the gaming operator’s ambassadors. They recently organized a BetMGM March Poker Mania Series on Twitter on May 18 to offer daily qualifier tickets and promote various live events.

Even so, BetMGM Poker plans to hold $500 qualifier events each Sunday until the Poker Championship commences to give players an opportunity to get a $6,000 prize package.
