Beast Rake Removed at Winning Poker Network

wpnThe Winning Poker Network removed the additional Beast rake from all tables.  The move was effective as of early this morning after the late Friday tournaments ended.  Beast tables previously raked up to $.25 per hand, depending on the limit.

The Beast is now funded directly from the standard rake charged at cash game tables.  All cash game tables on the Winning Poker Network now participate in the promotion.

Players will earn one point towards the weekly Beast races for every $.02 in contributed rake paid to the Beast jackpot.  Winning Poker will take $.02 for every $.06 raked and place it towards the promotion.  The maximum amount of Beast funding per hand is $.04 for heads up games, $.08 for three-handed games and $.24 for tables with four or more active players.

The Beast points race starts at midnight weekly and runs until 11:59pm.  Eastern is the time zone used by the network.

The Winning Poker Network consists of popular skins Americas Cardroom, Black Chip Poker, and True Poker.  It is the second largest U.S.-facing online poker network, according to Pokerscout.com.  It is also one of the fastest in terms of withdrawal speeds and options.
