A Look at the New BetOnline Tournament

Josh Arieh Is the 2023 WSOP $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship's Winner

BetOnline just continues to come up with some terrific tournaments for online poker players, and that is going to be the case yet again next week. The King of the Ring PKO Tournament Series is set to begin on February 26, and there will be 111 different tournaments to check out.

While the number of tournaments will help attract players from all over the internet, there will also be $1 million reasons to get involved as well. BetOnline is guaranteeing at least $1 million throughout this series, but that number can always rise based on the overall interest.

It can cost as little as $5 in order to enter one of these PKO Tournaments, and nearly all of the events have a buy-in of $100 or less. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t options for high rollers as the biggest event will cost $530,000 in order to enter.

All of the tournaments are going to have a 50/50 system in place, and knowing that information should keep more players interested as well. BetOnline also offers some traditional online poker tournaments throughout the year, but this is one that will continue to be extremely popular.

What Does PKO Mean?

The term PKO is a relatively new term in the online poker world, but it’s one that is catching on much quicker than many would expect. This acronym stands for progressive knockout, and that’s the style that all of these tournaments are going to be played with.

Half of the buy-in will be going to the overall prize pool, but that’s not the only way to win money in these tournaments. The other half of the buy-in will act as a bounty that will be placed on every player’s head.

In order to get that bounty a player will have to eliminate or “knockout” someone else at the table during the tournament. These cash prizes are not going to be massive, but stacking wins is one way to rack up a bankroll.

Since the bounties continue to get bigger throughout the event, there is more pressure to take out the player that will come with the biggest overall bounty.

Great Events, And a Leaderboard

Most of the games are going to be no limit hold’em action, but that’s not the only option that you will find. Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo games are also going to be offered, and that will allow players to choose an event that works the best for them.

March 3 will be the final day of this event, and there are going to be 16 tournaments that take place on that day. Some players might choose to wait around until the final day to join, but that’s not a good strategy to use.

There will also be a leaderboard for this event, and players can actually decide which leaderboard that they want to be a part of. Three leaderboards will be available and the top 35 leaders at each level will be awarded a prize.
