Partypoker and the Borgata work together to provide online poker gaming in the state of New Jersey and have done quite well providing a solid gaming client. The partnership will now see new upgrades taking place in both mobile and desktop forms next year according to information released on social medial and poker forums.
A representative for Party made statements on popular poker forum TwoPlusTwo and Twitter, indicating that changes were coming in 2015. Players have been petitioning Party to see waitlists added to the poker gaming lobby. According to OnlinePokerReport, player’s requests went unanswered for several months until last week when a representative for the network responded on the poker forum by stating that after speaking with the Product team, a wait list solution should go live by early 2015.
Most poker rooms online offer a waitlist as a standard feature of the poker room. Despite this, many players have begun to argue that a waitlist is a way to allow weak players to be found by regular gamers, thus taking advantage during game play. One could argue that Party has yet to add a ‘waitlist solution’ as they put it to create an option that will make everyone happy.
Also on the agenda for early 2015 is a mobile upgrade. In January, the mobile sites of Party and Borgata of New Jersey will see a complete revamp of the poker client for mobile. Players were disappointed in the original mobile release as the client lacked SNGs and MTTs, so SNGs were initially added a few months later. One could not assume that MTTs will be part of the new upgrade.
Additional options to be included in the upgrade are unknown so it will be interesting to see how Party plans on building up the mobile and desktop clients. Every little detail matters if they want to try and be the top provider of online game play in the state of New Jersey.
