The new facility will be a lot larger and will feature a new bar. According to officials, they are planning to open the doors of this facility as early as summer 2019.
Marcus Glover is the President and COO for Borgata, and he stated that the casino was proud to have been one of the first casinos to offer sports betting services in New Jersey. He added that they looked forward to making their product even better and enriching it with “innovative gaming and entertainment experience” that the guests of the casino could enjoy.
Apart from Borgata, there are a couple of other sportsbooks in Atlantic City, though they are all temporary at the moment. You can place bets on sports at Bally’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort, and Tropicana. All of the casinos have big plans for betting and plan to offer bigger facilities which would be devoted to sports betting exclusively.
To sum up, it seems that there is a bright future for the casinos in New Jersey, as some of them already have a long history of betting on horses. Almost all of the casinos saw some sort of boost in revenue after offering betting options, and they already have big plans for the future.
However, not all of the casinos are doing great, since Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Ocean Resort Casino were opened in June last year are being sued for $10 million. It is definitely going to be interesting to see how Atlantic City casinos would look like in a couple of years from now.
