Brian Christopher is a slot machine expert that partners with casinos to demonstrate how to play different slot games.
Brian also has a youtube channel, Brian Christopher Slots, with over 433,000 subscribers and 495,000 followers on Facebook. He uses social media platforms to post videos every day on how to play slots in any casino.
At the start of 2022, Brian has stated he would begin to disassociate with casinos that permit patrons to smoke. He will prioritize smoke-free casinos from January 1, 2022. A year later, he will exclusively partner with casinos that ban smoking.
Brian’s decision comes when casinos across the country are banning smoking in their premises. The slot machine guru noted only 13 percent of the people residing in the USA smoked today.
Christopher feels it does not make sense to subject a bigger percentage of those who do not smoke to harmful chemicals. Chris and his staff do not smoke.
On January 29 this year, the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas opened a slot machine section named after the popular gaming celebrity. The decision to name the area after Brian was to attract a younger generation to play slot machines.
The casino section hosts slot machines of games that Brian has already demonstrated. Considering the casino allows smoking on the gaming floor, it is unclear what will happen to the Brian Christopher Slots at the Plaza.
Randy Hayden praised Christopher’s move. Randy is a consultant for Americans for Nonsmokers’ Rights residing in Baton Rouge.
According to Randy, Christopher’s decision will attract a new generation of customers to casinos. He also added that customers want to be in a clean, healthy, and smoke-free betting environment.
Hayden also said that smart casino operators should realize that players want to be in a clean environment and use it for marketing their products. That way, they can generate new money and protect their customers, vendors, and employees while at it.
A Few Casinos in Las Vegas Have Banned Smoking
With tens of casinos in Las Vegas, only a few have banned smoking on their premises. Some allow smoking in certain areas in the property, while others allow smoking anywhere in the property.
For example, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and Resorts World Las Vegas allow smoking on the gaming floor and nowhere else on the property.
NoMad Las Vegas and Park MGM do not allow smoking anywhere on their properties. The two properties are on the west side of the Strip, near the NHL Vegas Golden Knights.
Celebrating 100 Smoke-Free Days in Shreveport
In Shreveport, Louisiana, the Smokefree Louisiana Coalition will lead a celebration for 100 free smoke days on November 9, 2021. Hayden participated in the quest to ban smoking in riverboat casinos in Shreveport.
Shreveport City Council president James Flurry tabled a measure to allow the two riverboat casinos to allow smoking. He stated that banning smoking would drive businesses away from the city.
But, Hayden said a good marketing strategy would drive non-smokers to the riverboats.
But, not every customer wants smoking to be banned. Some patrons prefer casinos to decide what to do with the issue instead of public officials deciding. These patrons cite private property rights.
