Playtech, a successful United Kingdom gaming technology firm, declared on Thursday that it has signed a contract with 888 Holdings. The company announced that it prolonged its relationship with the online gaming firm to launch its online gaming products and live casino on 888 Holdings’ U.S. online casinos.
The gaming companies have partnered for many years as 888 Holdings’ platforms offer Playtech’s online casino games in different regulated gaming markets. The new deal will include 888 Holdings’ American iGaming apps that have Playtech’s random number generator-based games and live casino table games.
888 Holdings currently provides online casinos in New Jersey. Yet, Playtech’s recent announcement stated that the deal will cover extra states that will issue 888 gaming licenses.
Howard Mittman, 888 Holdings‘ United States division president, said that the deal will significantly improve players‘ experience as the companies will provide more dynamic and thrilling games. This partially forms their product leadership and content strategy. Mittman added that 888 Holdings is anticipating Playtech’s online casino content and support to grow their partnership.
Playtech Is Focusing on the American Online Gaming Market
Playtech is currently operating in New Jersey as it provides bet365 with online gaming content. The gaming company signed a deal a few weeks ago to provide Resorts Digital Gaming with online casino content in the Garden State.
Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Shimon Akan, stated that 888 Holding’s decision to collaborate with Playtech will help it venture into more American gaming markets. The gaming technology firm wants to introduce live casinos to diversify its games and increase the demand for its gaming software.
The company launched lice casino game studios in December in Michigan and New Jersey. It provides Parx Interactive with live casino content in Michigan, which partners with the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians.
Playtech runs other online gaming studios in Europe and Asia. Therefore, last week’s revelation about its agreement with 888 Holdings wasn’t its only news.
The company declared that it will halt its plan to launch Caliente Interactive’s Caliplay in the U.S. It intended to use a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) A regulatory statement claims that Playtech is assessing other opportunities to roll out Caliplay in the country.
888 Holdings Has Other Deals
888 Holdings’ agreement with Playtech was revealed a week after signing a contract with EveryMatrix. The deal allows EveryMatrix to provide games on 888 Holdings’ casino application using its CasinoEngine platform.
EveryMatrix wants to increase its presence in the U.S as it operates in Miami. Still, it has applied for gaming licenses in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Its Armadillo Studios is planning to build an online casino game with Amanda Nunes, a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Erik Nyman, EveryMatrix U.S. division president, stated that the agreement will allow the company to increase its game content and reach more players.
The Two Gaming Companies Will Have More Partnerships Besides New Jersey Online Casinos
Playtech first ventured into New Jersey’s market in September 2020 after partnering with BetMGM Casino. It allows local players to access its live dealer games or those that 888 Holdings provides in the country. Last week’s press release indicates that the two companies will invest in other states soon.
