Cake Poker is now known as Win Cake. The Cakepoker.com/.eu domains now forward to Wincake.com. Players automatically download the new version of the software the next time they login. The poker room will be the same as it was at Cake Poker. The casino will now award FPPs and Gold Chips. A sports book is also in the works.
This rebranding does not involve new ownership. According to the Win Cake “About Us” page, Cake Entertainment N.V. is still the owner.
This move does not affect the sister brand Juicy Stakes, which is the home of former U.S. Cake Poker players.
Security Certificate Error
There appear to be an issue that is unrelated to this change that is preventing players from being able to access the tables. The Revolution Gaming security certificate expired in the past few hours. This is giving players a message that states “code: 116 security certificate or fate setting incorrect. Error: 10”. All tournaments and sit and gos have been canceled due to this issue.
Players have been able to access the network by setting the clock on their computer back a day. This fools a computer into thinking that the network’s security certificate is not expired.
The network had the same issue exactly one year ago today. It would appear that the site has allowed its security certificate to expire two years in a row.
