Full Tilt Poker FTOPS IX Event #12 $1.5M GTD Results

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS IX) at Full Tilt Poker is reaching one climax after another as the prize pools just keep getting bigger. Sunday’s Event #10 featured a whopping $1.5 million GP, and Monday’s Event #12 was no different.

Full Tilt Pro a WSOP Bracelet winner Eli Elezra joined in the action to play host to FTOPS IX Event #12 as the action got underway at 9pm ET, featuring a $1,060 buy-in to the NL Hold’em 6-seater tournament. 1,405 high-rolling online poker players took their virtual seats to battle it out for the top prize of $300,000 – the highest 1st place reward in the FTOPS IX thus far.

The final table was fierce from start to finish, eventually ousting ‘omalos’ in 3rd place to start heads-up play between ‘Garbally’ and ‘bmf823’. Though well matched in skill, luck of the draw prevailed as ‘bmf823’ was ultimately declared the winner just before 6am Tuesday morning.

‘bmf823’ was granted his exceptional paycheck of $300,000 for the 1st place victory, while ‘Garbally’ earned a commanding $198,000 for the 2nd place finish.

Red-tagged Full Tilt Pro Ram Vaswani took the 5th place prize of $72,750, while his Full Tilt Teammate Phil Gordon made an impressive run, finishing in 7th for $30,750.
