Thursday Night Football Betting: Denver Broncos at Arizona Cardinals

Despite losing four games in a row, the Broncos have been staying competitive. They were very close to taking down the undefeated Rams last week, but fell just short. The defense has been playing well, while the offense needs a little more work.

Arizona comes into the game with just one win on the season. The Cardinals are coming off a 27-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The lone win for the Cardinals came over San Francisco when they beat them in Week 5. The Cardinals are last in the NFC West.

The Broncos come into this game as the favorite at –1.5.

Broncos Looking for Win #3

On the road in Arizona, they will try to break free of their four-game skid. What they need to start doing is scoring more TD’s through the air.  Keenum has only seven TD passes through six weeks, and also has eight interceptions. Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman have the team averaging 124 rushing yards per game, but the team’s run D allows 161.3 rushing yards per game. They have not done well in that area, and it’s a large reason for their 4-week-long struggle. Under Vance Joseph, they seem to win their first few games and then completely forget how the game is played.

The defense is going to need to round into shape if they want to win against the Cardinals.  The pass-rush, which has been solid and has 16 sacks, also needs to stay sharp.

Cardinals Struggling Big Time

Steve Wilks put some pressure on the staff as he said if they do not start winning games they all will be fired. That’s not a good start for the young head coach. The Cardinals are looking to get the offense going, which is dead last in the NFL with 220.3 yards per game. The Cardinals are 31st in passing yards, and 32nd in rushing yards.

Arizona would love to get David Johnson back on track. The star running back has caught 17 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 296 yards on 92 carries and 5 touchdowns. The top receiver for Arizona thus far has been rookie Christian Kirk with 311 yards and a touchdown.

Broncos End Their 4 Game Skid and Win

A good week for the Broncos? Yes, finally! They will break their losing streak, and Case Keenum will go for 350 yards and throw three TD passes.

Here come those Broncos.
